Bloom partners with schools and aged-care services to deliver on-site creative counselling in familiar, trusted environments. Through individual sessions, workshops, and extended programs, we support both children and adults to feel safe and comfortable engaging in care, removing many of the barriers families often face when accessing clinic-based therapy.
-
Creative therapies such as music, art, and play offer alternative, organic, accessible ways to communicate, regulate emotions, and process life experiences without relying solely on language.
Research shows that creative therapies can significantly reduce anxiety and improve emotional wellbeing, with studies indicating up to a 70% increase in engagement compared to traditional talk-based approaches (Faulkner, 2022).
By embedding these supports within schools and aged-care settings, individuals can access care in a familiar setting, removing barriers and making therapeutic support feel natural and safe.
-
Bloom supports individuals who require ongoing therapeutic care, providing specialised, relationship-based support that can extend beyond what internal teams are able to offer. By taking on longer-term or more complex cases, Bloom helps reduce the workload and time pressures on school wellbeing staff and aged care teams, allowing them to focus on immediate needs, crisis response, and broader community support.
For schools, this means reduced wait lists, reduced pressure on staff and more effective use of internal resources, ultimately enabling a more positive learning experience for a child. By taking on longer-term therapeutic work, Bloom expands the school’s capacity to support a wider range of student needs, increasing the overall scope of care without adding administrative or financial burden, while working alongside existing wellbeing structures to provide flexible, collaborative support that promotes high-quality care, and increased learning outcomes for students
For aged care providers, it means reduced pressure on care and lifestyle staff, allowing teams to focus on daily care, clinical priorities and resident safety. By providing ongoing therapeutic support, Bloom expands the service’s capacity to meet a broader range of emotional, behavioural and cognitive needs, while working alongside existing teams to deliver collaborative support that enhances continuity and quality of care for residents.
